He was the very embodiment of the phrase “Do as I say, not as I do.” You could find him in his element in the woods.
Hunting deer; on the lake, fishing for the biggest bass or catfish; or in the wind, on his motorcycle, twisting the backroads feeling life to the fullest possible extent. He was a devoted animal lover who cared for a wide variety of creatures, including racoons, a snake, a hawk, and a family of little canines, all of which he cherished deeply.
Berea, Kentucky was his home for the first part of his life. Later, he and his family relocated to Unity, New Hampshire, and Newport, New Hampshire. After that, they lived in Richmond, Kentucky, for a while. He spent the last years of his life in Berea, Kentucky, assisting his mother with household chores. He had a lot of affection for his children and the rest of his family, and he was ecstatic to become a grandfather. He was cherished by all around him.
