Teresa Wingler Obituary, Death – Teresa Diane Wingler McCarn, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 25, 2022, at the age of 54. Teresa’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she shared with her family and friends.
Teresa was born on August 6, 1967, in Concord, North Carolina, to her proud parents, Raymond “Buck” and Frankie “Jody” James Wingler. She grew up in a close-knit family, surrounded by love and support. Teresa’s early education led her to graduate from A.L. Brown High School, and she later pursued her higher education at Kings College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.
Teresa’s life was marked by her deep commitment to her family, faith, and friends. She had a special bond with her two sons, Houston Ray McCarn and Dylan James McCarn, who were the light of her life. Her devotion to them was unwavering, and she took great pride in being their mother. Tragically, Teresa had to face the painful loss of her beloved brother, Larry D. Wingler, in 2018.
Despite this heartbreaking loss, Teresa’s strength and resilience continued to shine as she faced life’s challenges with grace. In addition to her immediate family, Teresa’s life was enriched by the love and support of her sister-in-law, Ann Wingler, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Her niece, Cassidy Menus, and nephews, Chris and Kendall Wingler, brought joy and laughter to her life, creating cherished family memories.
Teresa was also blessed with the friendship of Jerry Sherrill, who held a special place in her heart. Their bond was a source of comfort and companionship, and Jerry was there to share in the joys and sorrows of life with Teresa. To honor Teresa’s memory, a memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, April 28th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Dean Hunter officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Central Baptist Church, located at 1810 Moose Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083, in Teresa’s memory. This gesture will help carry forward Teresa’s legacy of faith and love.
Teresa’s passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. As we say our goodbyes, we remember her with love, gratitude, and the knowledge that she has found eternal peace in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
