Rocco A. DeMato Obituary, Death – Rocco A. DeMato, aged 57 and a resident of Brookfield, passed away in the presence of his family at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, September 14th. The individual in question was born in Bridgeport on April 16, 1966. He is the cherished offspring of Joan (Garamella) DeMato and the deceased Peter J. DeMato, Sr. The individual in question obtained a diploma from Henry Abbott Technical School. Rocky collaborated with his family in his capacity as a truck driver for Chase Equipment, in addition to various other local enterprises.
Rocky derived immense pleasure from engaging in various facets of racing over the entirety of his existence. The individual derived pleasure from engaging in activities involving dirt bikes, motorbikes, and modified race vehicles. A source of great joy for him was in the recollection of participating in races alongside his father at Stafford and Thompson Speedways. The individual had the opportunity to integrate his passion for racing into his professional trajectory, as he was employed by prominent entities in the field such as NASCAR’s Michael Waltrip Team and afterwards Ken Massa Motor Sports, where he served as a racecar mover.
The individual expressed a significant sense of pride in their involvement with Team KMMS, which emerged victorious in the 2021 National Championship of NASCAR’s Whelen Modified Tour. Rocky, a longstanding member of the Charter Oak Motorcycle Club, namely the Danbury Chapter, cultivated numerous meaningful relationships during his 15-year tenure. Additionally, he derived pleasure from engaging in the activity of fishing. The deceased individual, referred to as “he,” will be deeply mourned by his beloved offspring, Chase Ryan DeMato and Katelynn Gorman, as well as his mother, Joan.
