Marc Toney Davis Obituary, Death – Marc Toney, a Mountain View, California native and alumnus of the University of California, Davis, passed away tragically. On September 14, 2023, he passed away unexpectedly, leaving his loved ones inconsolable. Please remember Marc Toney, a 2013 graduate of Saint Francis, in your prayers and thoughts. On September 14, he entered into eternal life.

Following his time on our track and field team, Marc pole vaulted for UC Davis. A extremely bright young man with an open heart and a persistent desire to better himself, he was also quite intelligent. Please keep the Toney family in your prayers during this difficult time. On Wednesday, September 20, at 7:15 a.m., Fr. Tony will dedicate our morning Mass to Marc if you’d like to attend.

To win the Causeway Classic Dual competition, Marc successfully cleared a height of 4.98 meters (16 feet 4 inches), setting a new season high. At the Big West Championships, when he finished fifth and stood 16-0.75 inches tall, his talent persisted. By placing second at the Mt. SAC Relays, he particularly repeated this accomplishment. Marc won the pole vault in the Stanford Invitational as well as the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. Marc Toney was selected the Big West Field Athlete of the Week in April 2018 for his hard work and talent.
