Jennifer Stubbs Obituary, Death – On Thursday, August 25, 2016, Jennifer J. Stubbs, the daughter of Barney E. (Sherri) Stubbs and JoAnne Matthews, passed away. For more than 23 years, Jennifer worked devotedly as a Financial Administrative Officer for Del Dot. She loved watching her son compete in the demolition derby and bringing sheep to the Delaware State Fair.
She enjoyed cooking, camping, riding motorbikes, playing pool, and watching stock car dirt track racing. She belonged to Seaford VFW, American Legion C.K.R.T. #7, and the Harrington Women of the Moose. She was a kind, compassionate person who was constantly grinning. She was considerate of other people, and her presence always made you feel better.
She was a giving person all the time and didn’t hesitate to make new friends. The great-grandparents Ernest M. and S. Virginia Smith and Woodrow Wilson, the maternal grandparents Samuel and Lelia Anne Matthews, and the paternal grandfather Edgar Stubbs all passed away before Jennifer. Alvin E. Foraker, her true love; her son Byron S. Morgan; her grandson Jackson Morgan; Sheldon Butler, Sr., her other father; brothers Jimmy (Kacie) Messick, L.B. (Kellie) Stubbs, and Sheldon (Stephanie) Butler, Jr.; sister Jenna Stubbs; paternal grandmother Thelma Stubbs; and her aunt and uncle, Roberta and Larry Stubbs, survive her in addition to her parents.
On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, from 12 PM to 2 PM, there will be a visitation at the Melvin Funeral Home, located at 15522 S. DuPont Hwy. in Harrington, DE. Funeral services will take place at 2 PM sharp. We’ll be buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington, Delaware. The family prefers donations be made to Calvary Wesleyan Church or Prospect United Methodist Church in Harrington in place of flowers.
