Dufresne and Myrtle Zeringue Dufresne, he grew up in the heart of Wallace, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jimmy’s enduring legacy lies not only in his familial bonds but also in the countless friendships he forged throughout his life. He is survived by his brother, Leroy Dufresne, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his resilience and dedication to his community, Jimmy’s memory will also be marked by his unwavering faith. A visitation was held in his honor on Monday, October 4, 2021, at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment took place in St. Philip Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that Masses be preferred, a touching tribute to Jimmy’s devotion to his faith.
