Harley Lea Obituary, Death – A man was found guilty of causing death by reckless driving and given a ten-year prison sentence after a fatal crash that happened in St. Helens the year before. Brandon Glover, a 25-year-old St. Helens resident, was sentenced today, Wednesday, September 20, at Liverpool Crown Court, following his guilty plea to the crime.
Glover was driving the car when it collided with two motorcycle riders on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at around 12.30 in the morning. The collision happened close to the intersection of Park Road and Boardmans Lane. A short while later, it was reported that 17-year-old Harley Lea had died tragically from severe head injuries.
The assault also resulted in significant injuries to two other boys who required hospital treatment. Glover also received a sentence for two counts of careless driving that resulted in serious injury. He received two separate sentences of 45 months and 35 months, to be served consecutively, for these offenses.
