Earl Cobble Obituary, Death – We deeply mourn the passing of Mr. Earl Michael Cobble, a beloved member of our community, who departed this life at the age of 80 on September 7, 2023. Earl courageously battled multiple myeloma for an extended period, and he passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones and cherished friends.
Earl’s memory will forever be cherished by his two devoted sons, Rion Cobble and Andrew Cobble, both residing in Jonesborough, Tennessee. He is also survived by his loving brothers, Bill L Cobble and Hugh Tom Cobble, along with their respective spouses, Donna and Pat. Earl leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Additionally, he had an extensive network of friends who admired and respected him deeply. In the hearts of many, Earl Cobble will be remembered not only as a father, brother, and friend but also as a courageous veteran of the United States Army. His military service was marked by dedication and valor, and he received an honorable discharge, leaving a legacy of service that he continued in his civilian life.
Prior to his well-deserved retirement, Earl contributed his skills and talents at the VA Mountain Home, where his work touched the lives of countless individuals. He exemplified commitment and professionalism throughout his career, earning the respect and gratitude of those he served. In celebration of Earl’s life, a Memorial Service will be arranged for late October.
This service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to come together, share their memories, and pay their respects to a remarkable individual who made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the Cobble family kindly requests that donations be made to two organizations close to Earl’s heart.
The American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association. These contributions will support critical research and programs aimed at improving the lives of those affected by these diseases, continuing Earl’s legacy of generosity and compassion. As we reflect on Earl Michael Cobble’s life.
