William D. Butcher Obituary, Death – On Thursday, September 14, 2023, William D. Butcher, who was 66 years old and a resident of McConnelsville, Ohio, passed away at his residence. Born in Chicago, Illinois on January 7, 1957, he was the son of Isaac Butcher and Jean Lancaster Butcher, both of whom had passed away prior to his birth. Both of his parents had died before him.
During this time period of his life, he was also a member of the Main Street Church of Christ, which was located in McConnelsville. His family includes his son, Michael (Nikki) Butcher of McConnelsville; his four grandchildren, Tiaraha, Tristen, Malik, and Matthias; and his siblings, Michelle Butcher, Lisa Butcher, Terry Butcher, Stevie Butcher, and Todd Butcher. He is survived by his four grandkids, Tiaraha, Tristen, Malik, and Matthias.
In addition, his close friends Kathy Mayle, Lisa Stallings, and Tammy Kuhn, as well as members of his church family, are still here with us today. In addition to his own parents, he was preceded in death by his four siblings: Linda Jane Butcher McClain, Bruce Butcher, Robin Butcher, and Robert “Butchie” Butcher. On September 18, 2023, the memorial services were held in the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, which served as the venue for those events. Pastor Vernon Eldridge acted as the event’s host and presided over the gathering.
On the day of the service, close friends and family members paid their condolences to the deceased by visiting the funeral home. William received great care from the staff at Buckeye Hospice, and his family would want to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to the facility for their efforts. The Main Street Church of Christ Youth Group is a worthy recipient of any memorial contributions that may be presented in honor of the departed.
