Tristan had an innate ability to help others, often going to great lengths to assist those in need, even if it meant giving away the shirt off his back. His magnetic personality radiated positivity, and his mere presence had the power to brighten any room.
Tristan had an incredible sense of humor and took immense pleasure in making people laugh. He was always there with a warm embrace or encouraging words whenever someone required comfort or support. From a young age, Tristan developed a fascination with movies and loved reenacting scenes from them through imaginative play. During his time at Halls High School.
He was an active participant in the Masquerade Players, where he poured his heart and soul into every role he played on stage. His dedication to his craft was evident to anyone who had the privilege of witnessing his performances. In 2018, after receiving his high school diploma, Tristan pursued a degree in drama at Pellissippi State Community College.
Tristan held a deep affection for animals, but horses held a special place in his heart. He also possessed a keen interest in learning about different cultures and was self-educating in multiple languages. He aspired to travel throughout Asia and Europe to gain a deeper understanding of the world. Tristan spoke of his older brother, Samuel, in the highest regard, describing him as “the best brother anyone could have.”
Samuel was Tristan’s guiding light, and without hesitation, Tristan took on the role of a loving brother to Kyle. He was the glue that held the family together, always providing unwavering support and being his mother’s right hand. Tristan leaves behind his grieving mother, Sandra Smith Remington, and stepfather, Ben, as well as his brother, Kyle Smith, his grandparents, Arley and Bridget Smith, his aunt Sherry Loy, his cousins Zachary and Payton Loy, his Rural King family, and numerous friends who cherished his friendship.
