Tanya Maree Durran, Death – Tanya Maree Durrant (née Cate) passed away suddenly at her home on September 16, 2023, at the age of 52. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. Tanya was the beloved wife of Bill, a partnership filled with love and companionship that spanned many years. She was the cherished daughter of Carol and the late Peter, her parents who undoubtedly held a special place in her heart.
Tanya’s presence lit up the lives of her family, especially her brother Shane, sister-in-law Ana, and her nieces and nephews, Erika, Jessica, Jack, Gwyn, and Kaiyal. Her sister-in-law, Mike, and her nephew Logan, niece Melissa, and nephew Jake also held a special bond with her, while her great-nephew Drew added an extra layer of joy to her life.
A service to celebrate Tanya’s well-lived life will take place on September 23rd, 2023, at 11 am in the Founders Chapel of Remembrance, located at 117 Rickit Street, Taupo. This will be followed by a private cremation, a quiet farewell to a woman who meant so much to those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Cancer Research Foundation NZ. Tanya’s legacy will continue through contributions to this important cause, reflecting her compassion and concern for others even beyond her time with us. Tanya will be dearly missed but forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
