According to Nancy’s wishes, her corpse will be donated to the Willed corpse Program at Texas Tech. Nancy was born in Amarillo, Texas, on July 12, 1950. She attended Amarillo schools and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1968.
In 1981, Nancy and her family relocated to Memphis, Texas, where she and her then-husband, Kelly Beckworth, reared two sons. Before becoming the Hospital Director of the Hall County Hospital, she also worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for a local business. Nancy was proud of her achievements, having held positions in senior management without ever having earned a college degree. Several years later, Nancy met Mark Goring, her closest friend.
The two were wed in San Antonio on 5 July 2001. They resided in San Antonio, where Nancy worked as an accountant for an eye care organization. Due to Mark’s employment with GE, they relocated to Gruver, then Idaho, before relocating to Pampa in 2012. Mark died before Nancy on June 18, 2012. In her free time, Nancy relished needlework and crocheting. She frequently played number games on her smartphone and enjoyed playing Spades with her companions on the weekends. She and Mark were devoted San Antonio Spurs supporters. She raised several dogs, cats, birds, and an aquarium fish over the years because she adored all creatures.
She devoted her entire existence to her offspring and cherished her nieces and nephews. Her parents, Austin and Eunice Freeman, her spouse, Mark Miller Goring, and a son, Michael Beckworth, predeceased Nancy. She is survived by her son Adam Beckworth and his companion Jeff Fightmaster of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; her brother Terry Freeman and his wife Faye of Ohio; her sisters Mary Freeman of Panhandle and Kim Dyer and her husband Brent of Pampa; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
