Luciano Mandarano Obituary, Death – Lou’s battle against pancreatic cancer was ultimately unsuccessful, and he passed away on September 16 as a result. Despite his best efforts, he was not able to beat the disease. His passing came much too early in his life and was a great tragedy.
Everyone who was a part of the Società, including Luciano, his father Domenico, his sisters Petrina and Giovanna, and the Società itself, was a member of the organization for a considerable amount of time. This includes everyone who was a part of the Società. This pertains to Luciano as well. This email contains a photograph of Luciano that was taken in the 1980s, at the time that he was serving on the committee.
Simply clicking on this link will take you to it. The snapshot that I took is enclosed within this email for your convenience. You may see photographs of him and the other people who served on the committee during that time period in the upper level of our museum. It’s also possible to find both of those photographs together. These images were taken close to the time that the museum initially opened its doors to the public.
Because of the huge impact he has had on our community and his unwavering enthusiasm for all things Aeolian, Luciano is held in the highest regard by all of us. During this terribly difficult time, we are keeping Luciano’s family in our thoughts and prayers. We know that they will get through this. We feel terrible for the loss that they are going through right now. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that all will turn out well for you, Lou.
