John Hamilton Obituary, Death – It is unfortunate that I am the one who has break the devastating news that another one of our dear friends, John Hamilton, has passed away; nonetheless, it is my responsibility to do so. Unfortunately, John, who in recent years had not been in the best of health and who passed away a week ago, was no longer with us. John had not been in the best of health. The vast majority of you are most likely already aware of this.
John didn’t start acting until much later in his life, but he quickly rose through the ranks to become one of our best and most respected actors despite the fact that he didn’t begin performing at our small theater until much later in his life. He has performed in productions such as Men of the World, The Browning Version, In Praise of Love, The History Boys, and The Wooden Dish. Most recently, he gave a performance in On Golden Pond opposite Ann Mabey that was simply gorgeous and heart-wrenching.
Being in a scene with John was always a pleasure due to the fact that he was so generous on stage. In addition to being a talented and captivating performer, John was also very giving on stage. It was a delight to engage in conversation with him as well as to pay attention to what he had to say because he possessed a mind like a scalpel, a plethora of information, and a wicked sense of humor.
I am able to state with total honesty that I, along with a great many other people, loved him a great deal. He was one of a kind. It was an incredible honor to be able to call him a friend, and he will be missed by everyone very dearly. He will be greatly missed by everyone. During this trying time, we want his wife Marianne and the rest of his family to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them. At the appropriate time, we will disseminate any additional information regarding the funeral that comes into our possession.
