Jean Riedlinger Obituary, Death – On September 17, 2023, Jean Ann Riedlinger, a resident of Farmington, Illinois, who was born in Bartonville and had lived most of her life there, passed away at the age of 89 at the Carle Health – Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born in Peoria on October 15, 1933, the child of a delivery that took place in Peoria, and her parents were Fred Ewers and Florence (Branum) Ewers. On September 22nd, 1950, Jean and Gerald Lee Riedinger tied the knot in Peoria.
The ceremony was attended by family and friends. He will have a legacy. In addition, she is survived by her husband, Gerald Riedlinger, Jr. of Bartonville, along with their five children: Ruth Ann Kester (Robert) Kester of Rock Island, Cathy Wilcoxson, Debra (Michael) Mullvain, and Janet (Elliott “Scott”) Gordon, all of Bartonville; twelve grandchildren: Erik (Jennifer) Phillips, Jennie (Nate) Waldo, Valerie ( Her parents, her sister Patricia Hart, and her brother-in-law Steve Wilcoxson were all able to pass away before she did. She was the only member of her immediate family that had made it this far.
In the year 1994, Jean took her retirement from her post as manager of the lunchroom at Bartonville Grade School, where she had worked for the previous 25 years. The graveside service for Jean will be held in the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria on Friday, September 22, 2023 at noon. This will be the date and location of the event. In lieu of sending flowers, those who wish to honor Mr. Bartonville’s memory may make a contribution to the Bartonville Fire Department.
