Henry was born in Berlin on January 11, 1942. His parents, Herman and Alice Boucher, had both passed away before his birth, but Henry spent his entire childhood in Berlin. He earned his high school diploma from Notre Dame and went on to serve as a firefighter for the City of Berlin for 25 years. For two decades, he also owned and operated Boucher Fire Extinguishers and Specialty Badges.
Henry was deeply involved in his community, participating in various organizations such as the Berlin Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree). He was also a proud member of Good Shepherd Parish. In his retirement years, he dedicated much of his time to volunteering, particularly in preparing meals for fundraising events benefiting Androscoggin Valley Hospital.
Henry’s loving family includes his wife, Aline (Boulanger) Boucher, and their children: Mark Boucher and his wife Penny of Exeter, NH; Kenneth Boucher and his wife Susan of Antrim, NH; and Danny Boucher and his partner Lynn Dube of Berlin, NH. He was also blessed with several grandchildren, including Ryan Seymour of Bow, NH; Nicholas Goulet of Manchester, NH; Brian and Katie Boucher of Pennsylvania; Stephanie and David Mendosa of Stoddard, NH.
Let’s not forget the family’s beloved canine companions, Missy and Molly. A Christian burial service to honor Henry’s memory will take place at St. Anne Church, within the Good Shepherd Parish, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 10 o’clock in the morning. He will find his final resting place at St. Kieran Cemetery.
