Valerie Pochron Obituary, Death – Valerie Lillian Moore, aged 70, peacefully passed away at her residence in Shorewood on Monday, August 28, 2023. Born in Warren, OH, on January 3, 1953, she was the beloved child of the late Thomas J. and Valerie Moore. Valerie’s life journey took her to various locations across the country, with Phoenix being one of her cherished places.
She was a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to helping others, becoming a certified massage therapist to provide comfort and relief to those dealing with pain. Valerie was deeply spiritual and held the roles of a devoted mother and grandmother close to her heart. Valerie leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory. She is survived by her children, daughter Emma Rogge (Ryan Boies) and son Daniel (Allana) Rogge, as well as her adoring grandchildren, Grayson and Noelle Boies, and Temperance and Willow Rogge.
She is also survived by her siblings: Colleen (John) Pochron, Dr. Thomas (Nancy) Moore, James (Charlotta) Moore, Cecilia Hill (Terrance Dugan), and Daniel (Kay) Moore, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with Valerie’s final wishes, cremation rites have been performed, and a private family service was held. Her ashes will find their resting place at a later date at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly requests donations in Valerie’s name to the MDS Foundation or contributing to your local blood bank to support individuals like Valerie who are battling this disease. The compassionate care of Valerie Moore was entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home in Joliet. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and love.
