Susan Aylward Obituary, Death – Susan Aylward has been Clarke Aylward’s devoted wife for the past 61 years. She has been his closest companion for the entirety of their joint journey. She was the cherished mother of Beth Gray, who resided in Hamilton, and Norman Aylward, who resided in Thailand. Stone was Susan’s only grandchild, and he brought her great joy as a grandmother. Stone held a special place in Susan’s heart.
Ruth Jones of Windsor, Carol Johnson of Burlington, and Kenneth O’Brien of Nova Scotia are her surviving relatives. She has left them all behind. Her close friends in Tillsonburg, such Jeff Huber, Deb and Bryan Bailey, Bob Crocker, and Nancy Neufeld, will be profoundly affected by Susan’s death. All of these people live in Tillsonburg. Susan wore the enormous pride she had earned during her time spent serving as a Wren in the Royal Canadian Navy. Cremation was something she had expressed a desire for, and that wish has been honored in the appropriate manner.
An event will take place at the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association (Woodstock Navy Club), which is located in Woodstock, Ontario at 959 James Street, on Thursday, May 12, 2011, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. This event provides the chance for friends and acquaintances of Susan to pay their respects to her, express their condolences to her family, and reminisce about the joyful times they all spent together in the past.
