Steven Pash Obituary, Death – Steven Hubert Pash, 73, of Loves Park, IL, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023, in his beloved home. Born on July 28, 1950, in Freeport, IL, he was the son of Hubert and Betty Pauline (Steffens) Pash, Jr. Steven married Deborah “Debbie” Watson in Rockford, IL. He dedicated his career to companies like Sundstrand, Ingersoll, and Toyoda Machinery before retiring in June 2023 as the Chief of Administration for the Loves Park Fire Department, a remarkable 48 years of service.

A devoted member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Amateur Radio Club KB9YX, and the Verdi Club in Rockford, Steven was an active and engaged individual. However, his greatest source of pride was his role as PaPa. He took immense joy in cheering on his grandchildren, Ethan and Brennan, at their baseball and football games, and supporting them in their bowling tournaments. He was equally proud of his granddaughter, Sophie, who excelled in school, choir, and trumpet playing.

Steven had a passion for travel, both for work as a Senior Proposal Engineer and with his wife. He cherished their trips and created wonderful memories together. He also loved escaping up north to the cabin with family and friends, where they enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and riding ATVs. Steven was an avid NASCAR fan, and he relished attending races with loved ones. He stayed active through golfing and bowling.

Steven is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Debbie; his son, David (Patrice) Pash of Texarkana, TX; his daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Gorney of Rockford; his grandchildren, Ethan and Brennan Pash of Texarkana, and Sophie Gorney of Rockford; sisters-in-law, Pamela (Daryl) Brauer, Sherry (Kenny) Triplett, and Dawn (Tony) Harrington; foster brother, Steven Parrish; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
