Shawn was born on October 1, 1973, to Theresa Braxton Alexander and Stewart Poindexter in Lynchburg, Virginia. He received his education in Lynchburg’s public schools and proudly graduated from E. C. Glass High School. Shawn had a deep passion for sports, particularly as an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, his favorite team in the National Football League (NFL). He also enjoyed watching game shows on television and enthusiastically participated in the competitions from the comfort of his home.

If you ever missed an episode of “Moonshiner,” Shawn could fill you in as an expert on the show. Shawn was celebrated not only for his sports enthusiasm and love of game shows but also for his qualities as a cherished friend, devoted father, and loving brother.
