Joan Elkins Obituary, Death – In Loving Memory of Joan Elkins It is with deep sadness and fond remembrance that we bid farewell to our dear friend and club member, Joan Elkins. Joan was a cherished member of our club for several years, and her presence enriched our lives in many ways. We are saddened to learn of her peaceful passing at Calvary Riverina Hospital, with her family by her side, late of Settlers Village and formerly of Junee.
Joan’s life was marked by her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She was the dearly loved wife of Tom, who preceded her in death, and the loving mother of Julie, Bill, Greg, Paul, and Peter. Joan’s nurturing spirit extended to her role as a beloved mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, making her a cherished matriarch for generations to come.
During her time with us, Joan was an active and engaged member of our club, particularly in our iPad class. Her enthusiasm and willingness to learn endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Joan’s warm smile and kind-hearted nature made her a true friend to many within our community.
As we gather to remember Joan, we reflect on the love and joy she brought into our lives. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her journey. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to live on in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Junee, on Monday, August 28, 2023. It was a time for family and friends to come together, offering their prayers and farewells to a beloved soul.
In our hearts, Joan Elkins will forever remain loved and remembered, a cherished presence that touched our lives profoundly. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones, praying that they find solace in the cherished memories of a life well-lived.
With heartfelt sympathy and love,
