Jerome Zmudzinski Jr. Obituary, Death – Jerome J Zmudzinski, Jr., affectionately known as “Bim,” passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Born on December 15, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, Bim’s life was a testament to dedication and love. A proud graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1973, Bim went on to spend an impressive 40 years of his life at Libbey Glass, where his strong work ethic and commitment shone brightly. While raising a family, he pursued higher education, becoming an Electrician through Owens Community College, exemplifying his determination.
Bim’s true passion lay in his family. His four cherished grandchildren, Riley, Travis Rosengarten, Kaden, and Kayla Zmudzinski, were his source of joy. He relished watching them play soccer and basketball, often taking them to Rose Lake for fishing and water adventures. Family was his world, and he would move mountains for them.
Beyond his family, Bim found solace at the lake, tending to his garden, embarking on cruises, and passionately supporting Michigan in football. His zest for life was infectious, touching the hearts of many. In the face of adversity, Bim faced a rare form of Leukemia with courage but eventually lost his battle to Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his wife, Linda; children, Kelli (Brian), and Kyle (Kate); mother, Janet; two sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Zmudzinski family extends their heartfelt gratitude to ProMedica Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations to ProMedica Hospice are appreciated.
