Jan Wagg Obituary, Death – Last night, at the Nursing Home in Mediapolis, we said goodbye to a beloved soul, Jan Martin Wagg. She peacefully departed this world a little before 11 pm. Jan was never one to seek the spotlight, making photographs of her a rare treasure. Yet, if she were to see this one, we believe she would approve.
Jan’s life was marked by her time at Hy-Vee, where she cultivated enduring friendships. Like any job, she had her grievances, but her dedication shone through as she gave over 25 years of her life in service. Saying farewell was a tough journey, as it often is, but Jan was prepared, and our family knew it. She frequently expressed contentment with the life she had lived, and she longed to return home.
We are grateful that she retained the ability to make her own choices until the very end, and we did our best to honor her wishes. Jan, you will be deeply missed and eternally loved. Knowing that you have found peace and freedom from pain provides solace to our grieving hearts. As we reflect on the beautiful life you led, we find comfort in the knowledge that you are now at rest.
