Demetria Shabazz Obituary, Death –
When Demetria Virginia (Tipton) McCuiston was born on March 4, 1934 in Chic, which is located in Dyer County, Tennessee, her parents were John Tipton and Demetria Opal (Hogue) Tipton. Her maternal grandmother was Demetria Opal (Hogue) of Muskegon. North Muskegon, which is a community in Muskegon County, Michigan, was the place where she passed away on March 3, 2023.
She is survived by her children, Betty Chaney, Coy Gene (Vicki) McCuiston, Pamela (Al) Geisler, and Mary (Gary) Hurst; 16 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great grandchildren, with more on the way. She also had a total of 27 great-great grandchildren when she passed away. In addition, she is survived by sixteen of her great-great grandkids.
Her parents, her brothers, her daughter Rose Mary Lynn, her grandson Richard Fauble, and her great-great granddaughter Honesty Williams all went away before she did. Her great-great granddaughter Honesty Williams was the last living member of her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the time of her early retirement from Howmet, which occurred somewhere in the area of the year 1981.
Visitation is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 8, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, which can be found at 6291 Harvey Street in Norton Shores, Michigan 49444. A second viewing will take place on Thursday, March 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which can be found at 18975 Harvey (168th Ave), immediately before to her Funeral Service, which will begin at 11:00 AM.
