Christian Arnett Obituary, Death – Christian Blair Arnett, known to all as Blair, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2023, in Anderson, South Carolina. Born on August 23, 1962, in Jackson, Tennessee, Blair was the son of Sandy Hickman Arnett and the late Albert “Al” Blair Arnett. He also tragically lost his brother, Blake Arnett, before him. Blair’s educational journey led him through Wade Hampton High School’s Class of 1980, Spartanburg Methodist College, Clemson University, and Limestone College, where he earned his degree.
His career took various paths, from working at Arnett Motors between 1988 and 2005 to later joining the Carolina Auto Auction team. At the time of his passing, Blair was employed at Kwik-Wheels, where he continued to build relationships with his trademark friendliness. A devoted member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, Blair’s warm and outgoing personality endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a people person, and his passion for conversation was only surpassed by his love for fishing, football, and the serene moments spent on the lake with his cherished wife, dogs, and friends.
Blair possessed a profound appreciation for nature, particularly wildlife and his beloved dogs. However, his greatest joy in life was being a loving son, husband to Ann Miller Arnett, father to Chelsea Blair Arnett, brother to Wells Arnett (Kelli), and a dear friend to countless others. Blair Arnett’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A memorial service in his honor, officiated by Rev. Dr. Tony Smith, will be held on September 11, 2023, at 3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. Following the service, friends and family will gather to celebrate his life, ensuring that his legacy endures through shared stories and cherished moments.
