Catherine Wilson Obituary, Death – Catherine Arlowa Wilson (Fleming) passed away peacefully on September 13, 2023, in Maidstone, SK, at the age of 65, surrounded by her loving family. Her battle with brain cancer was short but courageous. She was born on April 17, 1958, in Lashburn, SK, and leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and cherished memories.
Catherine is survived by her devoted husband, David Wilson, who stood by her side throughout their journey. She is also survived by her daughter, Sherry (Leonard) Lapierre, and their children Grayson and Aryck, who brought immense joy to her life. Her sons, Christopher Wilson and John Wilson (Alisha Magnuson), were a source of pride and happiness.
Catherine’s family ties extended to her siblings: Fay Elsdon, John Fleming, and Karen (Ken) Minish, who shared in her joys and sorrows. She was also dearly loved by her mother-in-law, Lois Wilson, and her brothers-in-law, Keith (Wendy) Wilson and Glen (Wendy) Wilson, as well as her sisters-in-law, Ruth (Barry) Zepick and Terri Wilson. Catherine’s extended family included numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie “Sandy” & Phyllis Fleming, and her father-in-law, John “Jack” Wilson. She also mourned the loss of her brothers-in-law, Bruce Wilson, Lyle Wilson, & Ken Elsdon, and sister-in-law, Patricia Wilson. In accordance with Catherine’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, a gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Catherine’s memory will forever be cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
