Carrie Knowlton-trider Obituary, Death – Carrie Williams, age 72, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her home on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was a life-long resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. Carrie, a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School and the University of New Orleans was an educator in the New Orleans Public School System for over 30 years.
She is survived by siblings: Herbert Williams, Gloria Williams-Quinn, Vanessa Williams and Carmen Williams; nieces: Katrina Jasmin, Andrea H. Ware (Tony, Sr.) and Sabrina Jasmin; nephews: Aaron Stovall, Ryan and Jeremy Williams; great-nieces and great-nephews: Darcel Garibaldi, Dominique J. Pasley (Jarett), Jamira Smith, Tony Ware, Jr., Marcus Jasmin, Essence Jasmin, and Taylor Ware; great-great-niece, Nyla Pasley; a host of other relatives and friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Bennette Williams, Sr. and Almeaner Webb Williams; siblings, Clementine Williams, Betty Williams, Bennette Williams, Jr., Mollie M. Williams and Wilhelmina W. Jasmin; and a great-nephew, Sonjid J. Jasmin. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church and The Church Without Walls, Houston TX; Alumni of Walter L. Cohen Class of 1969.
