Carolyn Mill Obituary, Death – Mrs. Carolyn Sue Mills, who was 76 years old when she passed away, went to be with the Lord on September 17th, 2023 at the AdventHealth facility in Manchester. She was the daughter of Homer and Faye Congleton Hobbs, and she was born in Manchester on Monday, February 24, 1947. She was a devout member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church and worked for the Clay County Health Department for a total of 27 years before moving on to work for the United States Forestry Service for a period of 10 years.
Her devoted husband Johnny Mills, her son Jamie Mills and his wife Angie, and her cherished grandson Lucas Mills are the ones who will be left to grieve her departure. In addition, she is survived by her aunt Sue Jones and her husband Harold, her uncle Larry Congleton and his wife Cheryl, as well as a multitude of other loved ones, family members, and friends. She will be greatly missed. Her parents, Homer and Faye Hobbs, passed away before she was born. Her passing is preceded by theirs.
Donations to Gideons International should be made in lieu of flowers, per the family’s wish. Carolyn Sue Mills will be laid to rest at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel on the afternoon of Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Gary Gregory and the Reverend Scotty Sumner will be presiding over the event. The Manchester Memorial Gardens will be the location of her interment after her passing. At the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday after 12 PM, the family will greet friends and loved ones who have come to pay their respects.
