Arilda Mercure Obituary, Death – We must break the news to you all with deepest condolences that Arilda Mercure has passed away. On September 15, 2023, at the age of 89, she died away in the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in a serene environment surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Frederick “Fred” and Elizabeth Manuel (Daigle), both of whom passed away before she was born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick.

Arilda will be sadly missed by her children: Noëlla (Doug), Jacqueline (François), Jean-Paul (Kim), Ernestine, Roger, Gérard (Lynn), Antoinette (Claude), Rosaire (Kathleen), Elisa (Sylvain) and Marcel (Berverly); her siblings: Gérard (Gabrielle), Antoine, Patrice (Diane), Lorraine (Rosimond), Carmella (Richard) and Corinne (Howard); her 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law: Jeannette; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her own parents, she was preceded in death by her children Ovila (Louise), Robert, Maria (baby), and Joseph (baby); her brothers Edgar, Joseph, Albert, Edmond, and Bertin; her sister Eliza (while she was still a little kid); and also by her granddaughter Colette. Arilda was a woman of strong character who was also generous, fearless, and resolute. She will be remembered as such. a woman of tremendous faith who engaged in a considerable deal of prayer. She appreciated every moment she was able to spend with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other members of her extended family.

She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Quilting, knitting, bowling, bingo, card games, and dancing were some of her favorite activities. On Thursday, September 21, 2023, visitations will be conducted at Passage-Chartersville, which is located at 363 Amirault in Dieppe, New Brunswick (506) 857-1901, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:15 PM.

A memorial service honoring her life will take place in the Chapel at 7:30 p.m. following the visitation. Visitation will also take place the following day, on Friday, September 22, 2023, from two to four o’clock in the afternoon at the Soeur Blandine-Martin Slumber chamber, which is situated in the basement of the Ste-Anne RC Church at 5353 NB-117 in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick E9A 1E4.
