Anita Turner Obituary, Death – Anita Lou Turner, a beloved member of the Marlow community, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 79. Her life will be celebrated at a Funeral Service on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM, to be held at Glory Bound Church, with Reverend David Woods presiding over the ceremony. Anita’s final resting place will be in Marlow Cemetery, under the compassionate care of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.
Visitation hours have been scheduled at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 20, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects. Anita, born on May 28, 1944, in Marlow, was the daughter of Clearance and Daisy Blue. She shared her life with her beloved husband, Ron Turner, for over 62 years after marrying him on December 12, 1960, in Duncan. Anita was a devoted member of Glory Bound Church and found immense joy in serving her congregation, especially by cooking funeral dinners when called upon.
She also had a mischievous side, often playfully cheating at card games during family gatherings. In her free time, she cherished camping and fishing adventures. However, her greatest love was her family, and her absence will leave an irreplaceable void in their hearts. Anita is survived by her loving husband, Ron “Mr. T” Turner, her son Mike Turner, daughters Barbara Gensman and Donna Kay Gabriel, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, Thomas Blue. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Ronnie Dale Toles, and siblings Veral Joe Blue, Lavern Blue, Jean Blue, Wanda Harcourt, and Clora Travis. Anita Lou Turner’s memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love she shared with her family and friends.
