Albert Ramey Jr. Obituary, Death – Albert Ramey Jr., 87, of Milton, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Albert’s life was marked by service, dedication, and a love for the outdoors. A retired mechanic from Eglin, Albert’s commitment extended beyond his career. He served valiantly in the Korean War and remained a dedicated member of the Army Reserve. His community also knew him as a proud member of the Shriners, reflecting his commitment to charitable work.
Albert’s passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hunting and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories. Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delores Ramey, as well as his parents, Albert and Josie Ramey, and his brother, Donald Ramey. He is survived by his sons, Charles Ramey and Frank (Laura) Ramey, his daughter, Deborah (Pal) Cates, his brother, Joe Ramey, and his sister, Sandra Sherman. He leaves behind a legacy through six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, located at 6405 Highway 90 W Milton, Florida 32570. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Albert will be laid to rest at Hickory Hammock Cemetery immediately after the service. The pallbearers for Albert’s final journey will be his family members.
